Spectrum Cancellation Instructions:
Click here for a PDF of the Spectrum cancellation instructions (noted below)
Please call to arrange cancellation of your apartment’s Spectrum account ASAP and have it effective on or before December 15. Call the Bulk Account Department number 1-855-366-7132.
you need your account number and account security code pin number
they will determine the building address
they will ask what you want to cancel, so explain the account for your apartment that is associated with your condo building because the association is changing providers (if you have other Spectrum add-ons like phone, etc., you need to decide if you want to keep it at a non-discounted rate, or change to Hawaiian Telcom at the group rate)
say you want to cancel your account effective December 15
you will get a confirmation email with instructions on how to return the equipment (it can be taken to a UPS store that will be noted in the email; we advise putting it in a bag with your account number, name and address, and UPS will do the rest at no charge. Maybe take a photo for your records until you know it has been delivered?)
return your equipment (cable box(es), power supplies to be safe, and anything else asked for in the email) within 30 days of your cancellation date (inform Spectrum to cancel your account on or before December 15).
Once the Hawaiian Telcom installation is completed, the Hawaiian Telcom service will be active. Giving Spectrum the December 15 cancellation notice will just give you more time to return the equipment.
FYI - -
If owners prefer to have their tenants always be the ones responsible for the Hawaiian Telcom account and equipment in the apartment, the tenant will need to set up the account and arrange the installation (the tenant will only be charged for additional, non-included upgrades, etc.). Then the tenant would close the account and return the equipment at the end of their lease. This would be done by all subsequent tenants unless the owner eventually decides to have the account.
If any current Sellers of unoccupied apartments in the building prefer not to set up a Hawaiian Telcom account (to avoid having to return the equipment after the sale), the new owners of the apartment may do it and would arrange for the installation. Warning: Sellers still need to cancel the Spectrum account and return the Spectrum equipment.

Resident Manager Resignation and Transition from Spectrum to Hawaiian Telcom
After a quick year of being the resident manager at the Waikiki Lanais, Chris Plummer gave his notice and his last day will be November 22. He decided to take his vacation days now so if you see him on the property, please know he is not on duty. The Board will now be tasked with finding a replacement as soon as possible.
Click here for the notice posted throughout the building regarding the work schedule to install fiber optics for Hawaiian Telcom TV and Internet service that will take effect by mid-December.
All owners will soon receive a detailed letter announcing the change and all the benefits that will come with it (to be mailed during the week of November 7).
Security Key Fob Audit
Click here for the letter being sent to all owners today and our fob policy. To improve safety and security of our residents, RM Chris will conduct a security key fob audit. All security key fobs must be verified by RM Chris by December 19, 2022 to avoid deactivation. Key fobs belonging to an off-island owner will be allowed to be temporarily suspended until the owner returns to Oahu if the owners provide RM Chris with information about their off-island fobs.
